Piping in R is like cooking a hot bowl of ramen

For our One Data Science Widening Participation program this week, we taught A-level students how to use the pipe operator to filter, group and summarise data.

Many of us use the pipe operator regularly as it offers an intuitive way to express a linear sequence of operations, declutter codes and avoid creating many intermediate objects.

Students also explored the ggplot2 package, which is one of my favourite packages for generating visualisations.

And the best part of all, the pipe operator can work in combination with ggplot2.
