Our work on COVID-19 excess deaths in patients with cancer is featured in the dailies

Patients with cancer and multimorbidity are vulnerable to the effects of the pandemic.

The Lai Lab is proud to present our research on excess mortality due to direct and indirect effects of COVID-19 in patients with cancer and non-cancer chronic conditions.

We looked at 24 primary cancers and 15 comorbidity clusters (involving ~40 individual diseases).

This work received global news print and broadcast coverage in UK, US, Europe and Asia.
