New publication on clinical academic research in the time of the coronavirus pandemic

This work led by Ami Banerjee explores the challenges posed by COVID-19 on clinical academic response the UK.

We found that the pandemic affected the academic community at system level and highlighted six mitigation strategies: radical prioritisation deep resourcing, non-standard leadership, rationalisation, careful site selection and complete suspension of academic competition with collaborative approaches.
