Learning about Phenomics Research

The topic of the day is “Phenomics”. What is phenomics?

It is an interdisciplinary area of research that focuses on a systematic analysis of phenomes (i.e. a group of phenotypes) captured from electronic health records.

Altered phenotypes are good proxies for altered genetic functions, but phenomics research presents a variety of challenges, which were extensively discussed at the Human Phenome workshop.
